A child ran at play about ...

Cheerfulness within him ,

And kisses all over ,

Of the Enchantress ...

This time , now , is dead and gone ,

But in a corner of our memory ,

Lives a brilliant flame

Igniting our bitter hearts

With the hope

Of a better life ...

Just by ourselves ,

We could , if you please ,

Free our land !...

We'll find the Truth 's hard way ,

And it will be dazzling !

You were oppressed ,

In the Big City ,

With just foreign words

To name the things ,

All around ...

Get back over here to drink the ocean ,

To live like our country

And its scents ...

Just by ourselves

We have to leave the Big City ,

And to build a new world

Of Freedom , Love and Beauty ...

By ourselves ,

We'll fight still stronger ,

To cast off the cruel chains

That break our souls ...

And we'll open up the right way

To Freedom ,

For sure , it will be priceless !
