Maybe she looks for a fool

Who ' d seen rules in her heart ,

Moonlit nights in the sun

Of her green eyes ?

Maybe she's the queen of your dreams ,

Young colleen lost

Through misty golden brooms ,

By an old irish manor?

Her name is Aoife ,

Though everyone knows her

As Fiona ,

Maybe she's got no name at all ?

Just like the breath of the north winds

Upon the open sea ,

She only tries to withstand their calls ...

Then she leads you through

A boundless ocean ,

Far away to an emerald island ,

Where half a lonely old oak burns ,
